Biography
Stephen Thomas Urban was born October 2nd 1976 Summit New Jersey. Growing up in Elizabeth, New Jersey he attended Gifted and Talented Schools for Art and Music and enjoyed playing in the outdoors with his sister and friends. He then moved with his family to Brick, New Jersey in the late summer of 1986. He graduated from Brick High School in 1994 and also met the woman he would soon grow to love and marry, Angelsea.
Steve was married to his High School sweetheart on a beautiful October day in 1997. They have since moved to Waretown, New Jersey and in January 2004 had the blessing from God of their first child, Harmony Grace.
Currenly he has been employed as a computer technician for a nationally known computer reseller for the past ten years. He assists with graphics and web development, and also owns and operates a web design company, MoonShadow Technologies.
Steves' musical tastes range from Country, to Metal and Classical. He was raised on Country Music, growing up to the likes of John Denver, Charley Pride, Bocephus (Hank Williams Jr.) and many others. Then Steve was introduced to Metallica. He was overwhelmed with the power of and speed of Metal and never knew how much of an influence it could be musically.
Steve's current influences include: Creed, Finger Eleven, Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Three Days Grace, Kutless, Jeremy Camp, Submersed, Breaking Benjamin, Crownd, and countless others.
He has been playing and singing for 14 years and has played at places such as Buckalews Restaurant and Tavern in LBI, NJ, and The Galley Grill of Waretown. He has also opened for talent such as LiveForeverNow and Joe Mignano.
Steve hopes to as many people with his love of art, music, and poetry. His songwriting comes from the depth of soul, bringing lyrics inspired by faith, love, strength of character and purity.
